I am delighted to share that my work and artistic journey have been featured in Women in Arts Network's Best of the Artworld series.
The in-depth article, From Television Screens to London Streets: Joanna Pilarczyk's Creative Journey, explores my artistic development from growing up in Poland to establishing my practice as a contemporary figurative painter in London.
It discusses the influence of my multicultural community, my exploration of identity, relationships, diversity and belonging, as well as my use of vibrant colour and mixed media.

Young Masters Mentorship Award at Women in Art Fair 2026
Honoured to have won the Young Masters Mentorship Award last night at the opening of the Women in Art Fair at the Oxo Tower Gallery in London.
I am feeled with gratitude and joy, receiving this prize from Cynthia Corbet , director of the Cynthia Corbett Gallery, and the incredible artist and curator Sadie Clayton was the most amazing surprise.
A heartfelt thank you to Jacqueline Harvey, director of the fair, for creating such a welcoming atmosphere and for championing such an important platform for underrepresented women artists. Your work truly makes a difference.

I’m thrilled to have taken part in this year’s Guildford House Open exhibition and to have met so many inspiring artists at the Private View.

Guildford House Open - Exhibition
I am excited to share that my painting “Threads of Us” has been selected for the Guildford House Open Exhibition, organised by @parkerharrisco.
A huge thank you to the selection committee — @marybransonart, @kelvinokafor_art, and @seenbylizzie — for this honour and for curating such an incredible selection of 80 artists out of 1290 submissions, showcasing the very best of contemporary art across 2D and 3D media, from bold paintings and delicate prints to striking sculpture and mixed media works.
The exhibition will be hosted at the elegant 17th-century Guildford House Gallery in the heart of Guildford, Surrey, from 22 November 2025 to 28 February 2026, with a Private View on 27 November 2025.

Women in Art Fair 2025-Oxo Tower, London
The third edition of the Women in Art Fair wrapped up on July 19th, and I’m incredibly proud to have participated once again in this inspiring exhibition dedicated to celebrating the work of women artists.
I had the pleasure of showcasing two of my recent paintings, "Sunrise" and "The Good Days," alongside a group of exceptionally talented and inspiring female artists. It was an honour to be part of such a powerful and thought-provoking show.

Baring It All
I’m thrilled to share that my painting 'After the Bath' has been selected for BARING IT ALL – an international online exhibition hosted by Art Fluent. Out of 476 submissions from 10 countries, my work was chosen to be part of this bold and beautiful show exploring the rawness and complexity of the human form.
This exhibition doesn’t shy away from vulnerability—it leans into the delicate, the fearless, and the in-between. I’m honoured to be among such great artists whose works tell stories not just through body, but through emotion, experience, and identity.
IWD: The Modern Female
My painting, Sofia, is part of 'IWD: The Modern Female', an exhibition at @33contemporary in Palm Beach. The show celebrates International Women's Day, honouring women and their significant contributions to humanity.

Winner of the Boynes Monthly Art Award
I am thrilled to have the painting ’My Brazil’ selected as the winner in the @boynesartistaward in November 2023:)
It’s my second Prize received from Chantal Boynes, as I won precisely a year ago with the painting ’Serene’.
Both paintings are special to me. They portray my friend Renato and his partner Alex, a young gay couple who represent people from different backgrounds and cultures.
The theme of November’s competition was Unity in Diversity.

StART Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery, London
The @start.art.global 2022 came to the end:) Here are few photos from the event with my fellow friend artist, Ted Wongt and people who inspired my new paintings. I enjoed a beautiful, modern space in Saatchi Gallery building but mostly I was happy to meet some wonderful artists and share with them this experience. It was amazing to talk to the art curators and new collectors who came to visit our stand.
Women United Art Magazine
I am pleased to have my paintings and interview published in the first Issue of Women United Art Magazine. Mona Lerch, editor and founder of @artmumsunited and Women United Art Prize visited London during Frieze. It was amazing to meet her in person for the first time.
New paintings at StART ART FAIR
Preparation to the StArt Art Fair which took place in Saatchi Gallery, London from 16th to 20th October.
For this ocassion I worked on few new paintings exploring the subject of love and relationship between two people representing different backgrounds and cultures.
I showcased my artworks with my friend Ted Wongt, an artist from San Francisco.

A Quiet Space - solo exhibition
I am thrilled to have my second virtual solo exhibition at Art Mums United Platform. ‘A Quiet Space’ showcases most of my oil paintings created in 2022. The exhibition runs from 16th till 30th August.

My Paradise - Solo Exhibition

My painting ‘Portrait of Jarek’ is now taking part in the group exhibition organised and curated bt 33 Contemporary Gallery in Chicago.
An exhibition of figurative paintings by 30 artists from the US and abroad. Liberating the Flesh centers the figure form as the subject of human expression. From figurative abstraction to realism, these works help us see and experience the figure in various contemporary ways. Curated by Sergio Gomez and Didi Menendez of 33 Contemporary Gallery.

The Other Art Fair in King’s Cross
4 days at the Other Art Fair are finished:) We had a wonderful time with my friend and fellow artist Ted Wongt who came for this occassion from San Francisco. It was great to meet new, talented artists and have a good, constractive conversations about our artistic practice. The open, outdoor venue at West Handyside Canopy looked amazing. We enjoyed natural light and fresh air.
Ted and I would like to thank to all of you who came to support us and visit our booth. Special thank you to my husband Jarek who was as always a big help with organisation and during the event.
Ted and I are looking forward to seeing you at the next StArt Art Fair in Saatchi Gallery in October.

The Summer Scoup
I was invited to take part in the group exhibition ‘The Summer Scoup’ at Oink Gallery based in Swindon, UK. I am exhibiting among other talented artists with one of my paintings from ‘Intimate Times’ series - ‘Lazy weekend’. It was my debiut with Oink Gallery and I am pleased to share the news that I am going to have solo show at the gallery at the end of July.
